Meet the LGB

Welcome To The Trinity's Local Governing Board (LGB)

The LGB works alongside the Headteacher and senior leadership team to set the strategic direction of the school and monitors the impact of the school improvement plan in a variety of ways. LGB members volunteer their time and are a key part of the school's leadership team.

Please take time to read this letter from our Chair of Governors about updates to our Governing Body

What does a Local Governing Body do? Have a look at this document to find out more

In July 2016 we decided to make use of the skills across the two DSAT (Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust) academies in Devizes (The Trinity and Southbroom St James) by combining the governing boards. This has allowed us to broaden the skills available through the LGB without losing any governors. The names and details of the governing board members are:

Standards Group

The Trinity CE Primary Academy has a standards group that works alongside the Governing Board, reporting on standards across the school. This includes monitoring and evaluating the schools christian distinctiveness as well as academic standards, behaviour and attendance. The standards group meet with school leaders six times per year. During these meetings standards group members hold the school leader to account for progress made towards achieving the set targets and actions, they go on a learning walk together to monitor standards and discuss the progress of different groups of children using the school's assessment tracking systems.

If you feel you have the right skills to help monitor standards in the school please contact the Chair of Governors, Keith Clover, via the school office. Keith is more than happy to discuss what the role would involve in more detail.
