Prefects

Prefects

 

Here at The Trinity we believe that being a prefect is a very prestigious role. Children need to apply for the position of prefect to the Deputy Headteacher will make the decision about who the prefects are. The role will be carried out for two terms and then different children can apply or the prefects can reapply to be the prefect.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the school newsletter

  • Organising recycling

  • Encouraging children to walk up and down the stairs calmly and quietly and in corridors

  • Working with classes during wet break times

  • Showing visitors around the school

  • Helping in the dining hall

  • A prefect will:

  • encourage the Christian values of love, care and respect

  • to be a role model for other children, to lead by example and to wear the school uniform correctly and with pride

  • to work with Mrs Owens to promote good behaviour, manners, politeness and to assist in helping the school run effectively

  • to be punctual and well prepared for their tasks

  • to help provide a happy and safe environment in which all members of the school community feel valued

  • to work to prevent and report bullying and discrimination

  • to act as friends and buddies for those who need support

  • to carry out other tasks and jobs as may be directed from time to time by staff

  • to spot, report and reward good behaviour by giving out reward wristbands

 

At the beginning of each term the class teacher will ask for nominations.
