Reception Class Induction
We believe the induction of new children is an important part of a child's future success. At The Trinity we do everything we can to ensure parents and carers are fully informed about the journey ahead; the curriculum that will be taught, the approach to teaching in the Foundation Stage, as well as the practical arrangements of starting school.
Our Reception teacher will visit your child at nursery during the summer term and talk to their key worker. We will then invite them to attend four induction visits to come and see their new classroom, teacher and teaching assistants. There will also be a parent information evening inviting parents to visit the school and listen to a talk about the arrangements for their child starting school.
On the first day of term in September, parents and children are invited to attend a Stay and Play session to familiarise themselves with the classroom and chat to staff. These dates will be published below on our website and set out to parents via email.
If you are interested in visiting Trinity School and seeing for yourself the exciting learning taking place in our Early Years setting or you have any questions, please contact the office and ask to speak to Mr Brereton (headteacher) or Mrs Owens (Deputy headteacher).
