CofE Primary Academy

With faith we live, learn and grow together

We try our hardest in all we do.

We treat others how we would like to be treated.

We are fair.

We treat everyone with kindness.

We are brave in the face of new challenges.

We listen and forgive each other in order to move forward.

We are very pleased to be able to offer social and emotional support to our pupils by using the Thrive approach throughout the school. In school we have a trained Thrive practitioner, Rebecca Owens, who works closely with Kerry Dowling, who is also trained as a Thrive Practitioner.

Every member of staff has access to a range of tools from Thrive to help support the needs of children in their class.

Using Thrive online we can assess whole classes, groups and individuals. These assessments provide strategies and activities that we can use to help support children's development.

If you would like to find out more about this approach, please do not hesitate to contact the school to arrange a meeting with our Thrive Practitioners.

Introducing the Thrive Approach

Feeling connected, emotionally safe and heard are vital components for healthy brain development. With supportive relationships and a stronger sense of connection, children and young people are able to become more resilient, confident, capable and adaptable. Brains that are switched on to learning and engaged with life bring new possibilities and can improve health, well-being and resilience into adulthood.
